Gand menighet har en vennskapsmenighet i Tyrkia, i byen Antalya. Vi støtter våre venner i denne kristne menigheten, ved å bl.a. gi dem seks offergaver pr år.
Andre ting vi gjør som vennskapsmenighet er å ha dem med i våre bønner hver søndag, vi får besøk av pastor Ramazan så ofte som det er mulig, vi følger nyhetsbrevene deres, drar på besøk dersom omstendighetene tillater det, og holder oss oppdatert på situasjonen for de forfulgte kristne i Tyrkia.

Prayer Letter of Church of Antalya
Hello dear brothers and sisters and warm greetings to you from Antalya Evangelical Church!
Dear Friends,
As we enter a new year, we are privileged to share with you what God is doing in Turkey. We are so thankful (as we are each year) for your faithful prayers, support and partnership with us.
A Sweet December
December was both a busy and fruitful month for our church! As we have shared before, people in Turkey are far more open, curious, and receptive to spiritual matters during Christmastime and Easter. Because of this, we intentionally focus on preparing large outreach events during these seasons to reach more people for Christ.
This year we organized special Christmas celebrations for women, youth, and university students. Approximately 250 people attended these meetings, heard the Gospel message and received Bibles. On December 28th, we hosted a large Christmas event at a local public cultural center. We invited people from all around the city of Antalya. We had nearly 100 dedicated volunteers who offered their time and energy to pull off this event. Through choir, drama, dance, live music, and the reading of the Christmas story, we presented a clear, Gospel-centered message. We were overjoyed that approximately 650 people attended this one event. That day, we met many new people who seemed to be searching for spiritual answers and were genuinely open to hearing about the hope we have in Christ. We were able to give them the gift of the Word of God. We are so thankful to God for opening the door for us to host this event. Please pray that those who attended would come to know God personally and place their faith in Jesus Christ.
Growing Spiritual Hunger
In more recent years, we have seen an increase in interest toward the church and the Word of God. Not just in Antalya, but across the country of Turkey. We have seen economic hardship, rising inflation, increasing restrictions on freedoms, and widespread injustice prompting individuals to question their beliefs and values, while simultaneously pushing them to search for new hope. As a result, many people are visiting our church on a regular basis. And many of them are encountering God. We see God working in a very special way during this season. In the past two months, 13 people have put their faith in Christ. At the same time, participation in our discipleship and leadership training programs has grown significantly. Please pray for our church to continue to mature spiritually. Pray that new believers would be rooted in strong foundations. Pray that individuals would grow to be fruitful and effective servants in ministry.
Raising Local Leaders
We recently appointed 7 new assistant pastors to serve in our three church locations. We see this as the fruit of our leadership training programs. These individuals are now carrying a significant portion of the ministry load and are making meaningful contributions to the growth and function of our congregations. We desire to raise up many more local leaders and send them to nearby cities to plant new churches and spread the Gospel. Please pray with us that this vision comes to fruition.
Evangelism and Discipleship Center
We continue to raise support for the restoration of our Evangelism and Discipleship Center. Please continue to pray that this center would open soon and that the necessary financial support would come in to complete this project.
We know that we serve the same God, the same calling and the same hope. Your prayers and partnership is essential to us. We desire to continue to witness all that God has for this country. We are grateful for each one of you and we pray that 2026 will be a year of deep blessing and great advancement of God’s kingdom.
