Islamsk Råd Norge og Mellomkirkelig råd for Den norske kirke fordømmer volden mot kristne i Pakistan, og uttrykker støtte og solidaritet med kristne i Pakistan som opplever trakassering og frykt for liv og helse.

• Vi ber pakistanske myndigheter ta ansvar for å stoppe volden og stille de ansvarlige for retten.
• Vi ber norske myndigheter engasjere seg i saken og gjøre det de kan for at volden mot kristne i Pakistan stoppes.
• Vi oppfordrer nordmenn til å uttrykke støtte og solidaritet med de kristne i Pakistan som utsettes for vold, blant annet gjennom bønn i gudstjenester og moskeer.

A call from Muslims and Christians in Norway to stop the violence against Christians in Pakistan

Islamic Council of Norway and Church of Norway Council on Ecumenical and International Relations strongly condemn the violence against Christians in Pakistan. Norwegian Muslims and Christians express support and solidarity with the Christian population in Pakistan who is exposed to harassment and fears for their lives and health.

• We appeal to Pakistani authorities to stop the violence and bring the responsible persons to court of justice.
• We appeal to the Norwegian government to do anything possible to help stop the violence in Pakistan.
• We call on Norwegians to show support and solidarity, through e.g. prayers in the churches and mosques, with Pakistani Christians who are exposed to violence.
